Thank you for the ways you already support the WEA!

Looking to contribute in another way?

Consider contributing in one of the following ways
to help promote and
support the professionalism of outdoor education and leadership.

1. Scholarship Funds- The Kitty Drury and Pete Petersen Memorial Scholarship Funds were set up to honor the legacy of two early influential members of the WEA by giving future leaders help in pursuing their training. Click here to learn more about the Scholarship funds.

Currently, the Board is working on a Strategic Plan that includes a goal to ensure that our scholarships are sustainable. Scholarship funds are more robust when they’re endowed. In an effort to work toward sustainability, we are reviewing our scholarship process in order to provide consistent support for emerging outdoor leaders and educators. A hold on the giving of scholarships has been issued until an endowment plan is in place. Consider contributing toward the endowment of these funds by giving today.*

2. General Donations- The WEA is overseen by a volunteer Board but there are still several costs incurred to keep the organization running. General donations help cover budget items such as the National Office expenses, website, marketing, presence at other national conferences in our field, insurance, attorney fees and more. All these things allow the WEA live out our mission. Join in this work by contributing today.*

3. AmazonSmile program- Did you know your normal Amazon shopping could help support the WEA? You can use your same login information by starting at smile.amazon.com. Designate the WEA as your charity of choice and Amazon will donate 0.5% of any eligible purchase. Easier yet, click the link below for a direct log in to AmazonSmile set to donate to the WEA.
